Secondary Science Teacher | Full Time | Ongoing | 2027
Dale Christian College is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Secondary Science Teacher to join our college for the commencement of the 2027 academic year.
This full-time (1.0 FTE), ongoing position is subject to the College’s usual probationary and appraisal processes.
Successful applicants will teach Science across the Secondary School, with teaching allocations determined according to experience, qualifications and College needs. The capacity to teach across Years 7–12 is highly regarded, together with experience in one or more Senior secondary Science disciplines (Chemistry preferred) and WACE courses.
We are looking for a teacher who is relational, organised and purposeful, with strong scientific and pedagogical knowledge, a commitment to safe and engaging practical learning, and the ability to create well-managed, inclusive classroom in which students are challenged to think critically and investigate the world around them.

Secondary Digital Technologies & Media Learning Area Coordinator | Full Time | Ongoing | 2027
Dale Christian College is seeking an innovative, relational and suitably experienced Secondary Digital Technologies & Media Staff Member to join our College as Learning Area Coordinator from Term 1, 2027 and establish leadership of this newly developing learning area.
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), ongoing position, subject to the College’s usual probationary and appraisal processes.
Along with a teaching load the successful applicant will also undertake the role of Digital Technologies / Media / AIT/ STEM and MDT Learning Area Coordination, as an incorporated in the position description.
The successful applicant will teach across the Secondary School, with allocations determined according to experience, qualifications and College needs. We are particularly seeking a teacher who can lead and develop engaging, contemporary programs in Digital Technologies and contribute to Media education, with the capacity to develop coherent Years 7–12 pathways over time.
The role will suit a forward-looking educator with strong curriculum knowledge and practical capability across areas such as computational thinking, coding, data and digital systems, digital production, media creation and analysis, and the safe, ethical and purposeful use of emerging technologies. The successful applicant will also demonstrate the capacity to provide curriculum and pedagogical leadership, support and develop staff, oversee assessment and curriculum planning, and contribute to the strategic growth and development of Digital Technologies and Media at the college.
New Learning Area Leadership Role for 2027
This is a new leadership position from 2027. The Digital Technologies & Media LAC will work with Secondary Leadership and relevant staff to shape the direction of the learning area, establish consistent curriculum and assessment processes, build staff capability, oversee resources and equipment, and develop engaging pathways and opportunities for students.
The LAC is an educational leadership role rather than an operational IT support position. The successful applicant will collaborate with the College’s IT Manager and technical staff where appropriate while retaining a clear focus on curriculum, pedagogy, student learning and program development.

Secondary Mathematics & Science Learning Area Coordinator | Full Time | Ongoing | 2027
Dale Christian College is seeking an experienced, relational and suitably qualified educator to join our College as Secondary Mathematics & Science Learning Area Coordinator from the commencement of Term 1, 2027.
This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), ongoing position, subject to the College’s usual probationary and appraisal processes.
Along with a teaching load, the successful applicant will undertake responsibility for the coordination and educational leadership of Mathematics and Science across the Secondary School, working closely with Secondary Leadership and teaching staff to support high-quality curriculum delivery, student achievement and the continued development of both learning areas.
The successful applicant will teach Mathematics and/or Science across the Secondary School, with teaching allocations determined according to experience, qualifications and College needs. The capacity to teach across Years 7–12, including WACE courses, will be highly regarded. Applicants with experience in ATAR Mathematics Applications and/or Mathematics Methods, or Senior Secondary Science disciplines are encouraged to apply.
The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to lead curriculum planning and assessment, support consistency in teaching and learning practices, analyse student achievement and progress data, develop staff capability, oversee resources and learning area requirements, and contribute to the ongoing development of engaging and appropriately challenging Years 7–12 pathways.
The role will suit an educator who can balance strong academic expectations with inclusive and effective classroom practice, promote critical thinking, problem solving, investigation and application of knowledge, and support staff in providing well-managed and engaging learning environments.
Learning Area Leadership
The Mathematics & Science Learning Area Coordinator will work closely with Secondary Leadership and relevant staff to:
- provide curriculum and pedagogical leadership across Mathematics and Science;
- oversee curriculum planning, assessment, moderation and reporting processes;
- promote consistent and effective teaching and learning practices across Years 7–12;
- use student achievement and other relevant data to inform improvement priorities;
- support, mentor and develop Mathematics and Science teaching staff;
- oversee learning area resources, equipment and budget priorities;
- support the effective organisation and safe delivery of science practical programs;
- contribute to the development and review of WACE and Senior Secondary pathways; and
- contribute to the strategic development of Mathematics and Science within the College.
